I wish that I could find the words
To express to you my feelings about nature.
There’s something within me that cries out for beauty,
And nature, in her own way, provides it.
Every time I walk among the woods and the fields,
Or stand upon a hill and gaze up at the sky…
Whether it be a fathomless sea of blue,
Or dark, and filled with stars, sparkling as diamonds…
A feeling of awe and wonder seems to overwhelm my very being.
Awe and wonder… that the God
I serve created such beauty
By the word of His mouth!
I am so unworthy to behold such beauty.
And because I realize how unworthy I am,
I am all the more thankful!
